Gail was raised in Montreal and Winnipeg. She worked as a bacteriology technologist . She was always interested in art but thought that you had to be born with talent. On a whim , she and a friend took a watercolour course in White Rock in 1987. Art , in many aspects , has been an important part of her life for over 30 years in Vernon.
Hiking , camping and backpacking have also been a very big part of her life in the Okanagan.
This is an acrylic painting done on randomly torn rice paper over the canvass. It depicts the beauty, gratitude and peace that can be so amazing as the sun goes down.
